How To Make a Christmas Lantern from Drinking Straws

Christmas is just around the corner.  Why not try something different.  Get into the spirit of Christmas and start making your own Christmas Lanterns from Drinking Straws.

Materials:





Bendy Drinking Straws
Tape
Glue Gun
Glue Sticks
Cellophane
Colored Tape
Used Ribbons

Procedure:

1.  Take 5 bendy straws and lay them down to form a star.









2.  Fully stretch the bendy straws and connect the ends.  The bendy part of the straws will serve as the corners of the star.   Make sure to secure the ends with tape.  Make another star to serve as the back of your Christmas Lantern.








3.  Cut 10 pcs. of straw 1 inch in length.










4.  Use the 1 inch pcs. of straw to join the 2 stars together and secure them using your Glue Gun and Glue Stick.











5.  Cover the frame of your Christmas Lantern using your Cellophane and secure it in place using tape.






6.  Highlight the outlines of your Christmas Lantern using colored tape.
7.  Add some effect to your Christmas Lantern using pieces of ribbbons.
8.  Congratulations your done...
