Bean Art

Have lots of fun creating works of art using different kinds of beans. Use different colored beans to produce wonderful and exciting effects.

Materials Needed:
A Piece of Card board (You may use paper, but you must consider that the more beans you use the heavier your project becomes)
Beans (lots and lots of beans. For this project I used a combination of green mongo beans and white kidney beans. However, you could use other varieties such as red beans and even corn.)
Shaped Rubber bands

Procedure:
1. Design  a pattern for your artwork. You could used shaped rubber bands, draw shapes and use yarns as borders. I suggest you use borders to keep the seeds in place. However, you could just draw the shapes and highlight the borders using markers.
2. Populate the shapes using your beans and glue. Experiment with different colored and shaped beans for effect. Just remember the more beans you use the heavier your artwork becomes.
3. Let your glue dry and settle. You could also color beans to produce a more colorful effect.
4. Congratulations your done...

Marshmallow Flower

Went to the grocery store last week and found a great gift item along the candies section. Candies now a days come in different shapes, forms, sizes and packages. Making them a excellent source for gift items. Here is an example of small bite sized marshmallows shaped like flowers and packaged in a plastic bag shaped like a flower. You could either give the marshmallows directly as a gift or you spice it up a little bit to make it extra special. Here are some ideas you could do with your marsh mallow flower.

1. Personalize it by either printing dedications and pictures on a sticker paper to decorate your marshmallow flower. You could also use ready made stickers or download pictures from the Internet to print on your sticker paper.

2. Use different colored ribbons to decorate your marsh mallow flower.
3. Add some dedication or note on a small piece of card board and attach it to your marshmallow flower.
