How to make a boat out of Sipping Straws

Play around and create your own toy boat using Sipping Straws.



Materials Needed:

A lot of Sipping Straws
Scissors
Tape
Glue Gun
Glue Sticks

Procedure:

1.  Using your Sipping Straws form a diamond type shape which will serve as the top of your boat.  Fasten the end of the straws together using tape.

2.  From your diamond shape you now start forming the frame of your boat. Fasten the end together using tape.

3.  Piece by piece start to construct the body of your boat by carefully laying out pieces of straw one on top of the other until you cover the entire frame of your boat.  Fasten them together using tape.

4.  To make you boat float on water you need to make balancers for both sides of your boat.  Tape together 2 pieces of straw and gently insert it through the front side of your both. Do the same for the end.

5.  To create the floaters, tape two straws together and connect them to one side of balancers.  Do the same for the other side.

6. Reinforce your boat by adding some glue from your glue gun.

7. Congratulations your done...
